🔮 What Can We Expect in Season 14?
According to showrunner Andrea Newman, there will be a time jump, though the exact length is unknown. The season will explore the emotional and logistical impact of parenthood on first responders — especially Kidd and Severide, who now face life-or-death situations with a child in the picture.
“It’s a way to really amp everything up for these two and test this relationship in all-new ways,” Newman explained. “Parenthood is going to shake things up for sure.”
Beyond that, Firehouse 51 will face major challenges as a new auditor arrives, sparking a department-wide shakeup.
“No one is safe,” Newman warned. “Next season will be all about upheaval — how everyone responds to change, new arrivals, and departures — and whether the team can hold strong as a family while everything around them is in chaos.”
