Boston Blue has recast Danny Reagan’s son Sean but the actor already has numerous projects in the works away from the Blue Bloods spin-off.
For all 14 seasons of CBS’ police family drama, actor Andrew Terraciano was behind Danny Reagan’s (played by Donnie Wahlberg) son Sean.
But going into the upcoming spin-off Boston Blue, which is set to premiere on October, Friday 17, Sean will be replaced by actor Mika Amonsen.
It has been revealed that Sean will continue his family’s legacy as he becomes a Boston Police Department patrolman, indicating why Danny chose to move away from New York.
While fans have been expecting the expansion of the Blue Bloods universe, actor Amonsen has been busy bringing to life two films on top of the spin-off.
Both of the Boston Blue actor’s films are horrors with the first, Whistle, now completed and set to feature a number of recognizable actors.
As well as Amonsen, Whistle is going to star Shaun of the Dead’s Nick Frost, His Dark Materials’ Dafne Keen, Wednesday actor Percy Hynes White and Firefly Lane actress Ali Skovbye.
Yellowjackets fans will also be thrilled to see that actress Sophie Nelisse, who is behind the terrifying teen Shauna, is going to be featured, although details of her role haven’t been revealed.
The description for Whistle reads: “A misfit group of unwitting high school students stumble upon a cursed object, an ancient Aztec Death Whistle.
“They discover that blowing the whistle and the terrifying sound it emits will summon their future deaths to hunt them down.”
The second of Amonsen’s upcoming films is Fresh Meat which is currently in post-production.
The disturbing synopsis reads: “Internet influencers venture into an abandoned prison to create content, unintentionally unleashing a ravenous inmate.
“They’re now trapped, fighting for survival while capturing terrifying content.”
He is going to be leading the cast alongside actress Hannah Galway who will be familiar with those who have just started watching The Institute on MGM+ as she plays Officer Wendy Gullickson.
